Building Construction must Obey Regulation

Buildings constructed near river bank are urged to provide minimum distance by eight meters and obey other regulations.

South Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Holi Susanto, said before constructing any building or retaining wall, citizen must process licensing at one-door integrated service (PTSP).

"Landslide which usually happened also caused by people who do not obeying rules related to constructed building," he said, Wednesday (2/22).

He added that recently many buildings are standing about three meters from river bank. Even, there is building which built above the channel.

"This can lead to suffer if landslide really happens ," he closed.
