7 Tons of Trash Transported from Seribu Islands

As many as 7 tons waste came from 13 rivers and flowed to Seribu Islands waters, have been transported by local Sub-dept. of Environment.

We deployed 22 units of Seribu Islands trash transportation

Seribu Islands Environment Sub-dept. Head, Yusen Hardiman said, those trash were flood impact that happened recently in Jakarta and buffer zones.

He added his side deployed all units of catamaran boat, Bersih Motor Boat, motor Cart, and dozens of Public Facilities and Infrastructure Handling (PPSU) personnel to transport the trash.

Cakung Lama River Full of Flood Trash

"We deployed 22 units of Seribu Islands trash transportation. As a result, 7 tons of trash have been transported to Kaliadem to be proceed at Bantar Gebang," he said, Thursday (2/23).

Tidung Island Urban Village Head, Cecep Suryadi, stated since Wednesday (2/22), his side deployed PPSU personnel to collect three tons of trash in Jembatan Cinta Pier, Transportation Department Pier, and South Seribu Islands Sub-district Pier.

"Today, we clean Payung Island, Tidung Kecil, and Tidung Barat. We clean it gradually because of personnel limitation," he closed.
