Immigration Socialization Held for Improving Society Knowledge

As many as 35 community organizations (ormas) and non-governmental organizations (LSM) on Monday (2/27) joined immigration socialization in South Jakarta Mayor Office Pola Room. This was done in order to enhance immigration knowledge in line with the enactment of Law No.6/2011 about immigration.

This socialization is held to give more complete knowledge and comprehensive to all community stratum and components about immigration rules

South Jakarta Particular Immigration Office Class 1 Head, Cucu Koswala, hoped with this socialization, community participation in improving observation of foreigners will be higher.

SOuth Jakarta Mayor, Tri Kurniadi added, this socialization is hoped can give knowledge to all communities. Moreover, Indonesia has President Regulation (Perpres) No. 21/2016 about visa-free visit for 169 countries. According to him, this thing has its positives and negatives impact.

"To anticipate the negative sides, we together with South Jakarta Immigration Office have already formed Foreign Control Team (Timpora) which is placed at Kalibata City Apartment," he said.

Timpora involves LSM, public figures and religious leaders. The purpose is to raise the awareness of early prevention, early detection against foreign who entering illegally.
