Jakarta Great Mosque located at Jalan Daan Mogot, West Jakarta targeted to be complete in March will be touching Betawi ornaments.

Mosque is also completed with five towers that symbolize the Five Pillars of Islam

Jakarta Public Housing and Residential Dept. Head, Arifin disclosed, gigi balang decorations (wooden Betawi ornament) will be mounted on the mosque's roof and fence.

"Mosque is also completed with five towers that symbolize the Five Pillars of Islam," he expressed, at City Hall, Monday (2/27).

The development itself has reached 80 percent. Later on, it would have supporting facilities such as office, multipurpose room and education.

Office area, he continued, will be used for a mosque caretaker. While the multipurpose room with a capacity of 1,000 people, can be used for the public purposes.

"Its concept is to develop a variety of functions, not just places of worship. The mosque can accommodate 12,500 worshipers," he finished.
