The implementation of Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) system, which will be applied next year by Jakarta Provincial Government, gets support from the City Police. However, to apply this system on some roads in the capital city, it also needs Electronic Registration & Identification (ERI).
Of course we support it because it is positive. We’re ready to get involved in the revolution. We have also socialized it to social media, including TMC and RTMC
“ERI is our base in applying ERP. Without ERI, it is impossible to carry out ERP. We are ready to synchronize our data with Jakarta Regional Revenue Department (Dispenda), when they want to synchronize it?” stated City Police Traffic Directorate Deputy Chief AKBP Bakharuddin Muhammad Syah, in an ERP discussion, Tuesday (6/3).
Moreover, Bakharuddin stressed that the police fully support Jakarta Provincial Government that will implement ERP. He assessed it is a very positive thing, and will support it totally so the system can be realized immediately.

Of course we support it because it is positive. We’re ready to get involved in the revolution. We have also socialized it to social media, including TMC and RTMC ,” he uttered.Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, M Akbar, said that he will coordinate with related party, so the data can be matched with the City Police’s.
“We will coordinate with Jakarta Regional Revenue Department on vehicles’ data,” he informed.
According to Akbar, the data used will still refer to police’s data since Jakarta Regional Revenue Department only has data that contains the vehicles in Jakarta. On the other hand, the vehicles passing on Jakarta’s roads also come from Depok, Tangerang, and Bogor.
“I think we will use the data in the City Police, since the violators are not vehicles in Jakarta only,” he told.
