Bedah Rumah Program in Seribu Islands Started

Seribu Islands Vice Mayor, Ismer Harahap, laid the first stone to mark the beginning of Bedah Rumah (house renovation) Program for poor people in Harapan Island, Kelapa Island, and Panggang Island.

This program is an aid from City Alms and Donation Agency (BAZIS).

Sauni (60), Harapan Island citizen who receives Bedah Rumah aid admitted that he is very grateful and thanks for Jakarta Provincial Government aid.

"Thank you for repairing my house, I may not be able to build it myself," he expressed.

In this year, City BAZIS donated Rp 30 million for each house which repaired. There are four citizen houses that were renovated. Two of them are located in Harapan Island, there are Muinah (70) house at RT 001/02 and Sauni (60) house at RT 003/02.

Another one is located in Kelapa Island, that is Fatillah Yassin (55)'s house at RT 004/02, and last was Umaja (57)'s house at RT 007/02, in Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district.
