Transport Agency Personnel Standby at 5 Illegal Terminal

Five points in Central Jakarta areas are often used as inter-city and inter-province (AKAP) bus' illegal terminals. Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. (Sudinhub) personnel keep guarding the locations.

So they just take a chance. It is clear that when they meet us, we stopped their operation directly

Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. Head, Harlem Simanjuntak, said mostly AKAP bus took the passenger outside the terminal or usually called shadow terminal because of several reasons. One of the reason is because passengers usually waiting at points that always been there before. 

No More AKAP Bus in Pulogadung and Rawamangun

"So they just take a chance. It is clear that when they meet us, we stopped their operation directly," he said, Saturday (3/4).

Besides, there still another points of shadow terminal, such as on Jl. Pangkalan Asem Johar Baru, Jl. Pangeran Jayakarta Sawah Besar, and in front of Design Center Building on Jl. Gatot Subroto Slipi. Personnel must givr extra work to monitor.

"Every act, we report it directly to Ministry of Transportation. Their business license could be revoked," he closed.

Thus his side urged transportation businessmen to obey the rules.
