South Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. cleaned the connecting channel (PHB) on Jl. TK Pembina, Petukangan Utara, Pesanggrahan. Mud and trash made the connecting channel's capacity reduced.
This is also to prevent inundation that often occur when heavy rain happen. During flood, water level could r eached 20-40 centimeters
"There are many trash and mud. Besides, many people complained and asked to be dredged," said Holi Susanto, Head of South Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept., Monday (3/6).
According to him, that channel has 300 meters long and 80 centimeters wide. 80 personnel and 10 trucks were deployed due to this cleaning activity.
