Acting Governor Surveys Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train

Acting Jakarta Governor, Sumarsono along with Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi and Minister of BUMN Rini Soemarno surveyed the project of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train on Sunday (3/12).

On that occasion, they focused on the design of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) at Dukuh Atas Station and stations development that will be crossed by train such as Sudirman Baru Station, Duri Station, Batu Ceper Station and Soekarno-Hatta Airport. 

They also saw many slum areas on the left side of the railway. Sumarsono assessed, Jakarta Provincial Government should arrange it soon.

City Needs Assist to Provide Airport Train

"Which is why, we here to seek agreement which are points what should be built, be arranged and be greened. This is still under discussion. It must be executed soon," said the man who familiarly called Soni.

He went on the say that it was also synergizing between the central and local government in accelerating the project, which is targeted, will operate by the end of July.

Predictably, the airport train would be able to reduce 20-30 percent of public transport or private vehicle toward the airport.

Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi added the development process has touched 60 percent and is in accordance with the plan. Some are predictable completed in June.

"In Sudirman, will be integrated with some modes, like MRT, LRT, Transjakarta and airport train. Today, we tall about airport train first thus can be operated when Soekarno-Hatta Airport's Terminal III is activated," he finished.
