Council to Check Food Stock Readiness Towards Ramadan

City Council will call three State Companies (BUMD)s that are engaged in food field to make sure of food stock readiness towards Ramadan in City.

This is a part of preparedness towards Ramadan. We will check in the field approximately a week before Ramadan

City Council Commission B Chairman, Tubagus Arief, said food needs in Ramadan certainly will increase. Thus his side wants to make sure three BUMDs readiness, there are PD. Dharma Jaya, PD. Pasar Jaya, and PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya.

"This is a part of preparedness towards Ramadan. We will check in the field approximately a week before Ramadan," he said in Commission B meeting at City Council building, Monday (3/13).

Besides the three BUMDs, his side also invited Economic Bureau and City Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Tenacity Dept. to assist it.

"We hope executives and BUMD can maintain food stability, don't let price fluctuation happen and food stock decrease like years before," he said.

He added to maintain stability of food prices, food stock must be fulfilled.

"The point is, Jakarta Provincial Government must guarantee food stock thus food price stability can be maintained," he closed.
