200 Vehicles Under Environment Dept. Undergo Emission Test

An emission test toward operational and civil servant (PNS)'s private vehicles is held at the Jakarta Environment Dept. office today, Wednesday (3/29). It is targeted the entire 200 vehicles that will be tested in accordance with the emission limits.

Jakarta Environment Dept. Head, Ali Maulana disclosed the 200 vehicles that undergo emission test consist of 120 PNS's private vehicles and 80 other operational vehicles.

He explains it is a series of events that began since mid-March 2017 in Bantar Gebang. It will also be applied to all official vehicles in the future.
It is done as one of the city's programs in support of the Blue Sky Program. Hence it is hoped regional working units (SKPD) and private parties could conduct the same thing.
"Every day, the number of vehicles continues to grow. Through emission
test, we hope pollution can be reduced," he hoped.
