Fire Training Given to South Jakarta PAUD Students

Dozens of students and teachers of Kenanga Early Childhood Education Center (PAUD) on Jalan Padang III, RT 06/05, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta are participating in the socialization and fire handling training at the Pasar Minggu Sector IX Office.

We educate them about what they have to do when fire occurs in the building

In that occasion, the participants are taught how to use portable fire extinguisher (APAR) and evacuate fire victims in malls, offices and story buildings. The officer also introduces about firefighter's duties and functions (tupoksi). 

Ardiansyah, Head of Pasar Minggu Sector IX Team for South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept. expressed it is important to reduce panic when fire occurs.

"We educate them about what they have to do when fire occurs in the building," he stated, Wednesday (3/29).

He furthered those are also trained how to put out the flames due to gas tube leaks. The materials given are about the theory and practice of handling the fire with APAR and wet sacks.
