City Opens Opportunities for England to Invest in LRT Project

City Provincial Government opens opportunities for England to invest in Light Rail Transit (LRT) construction project.

‎‎UK Export Finance will come next week and we try to elaborate the possibility of this cooperation

City Industry, Trade, and Transportation Sector Deputy Governor, Sutanto Soehodho said, big invest is needed in LRT project. Because it is still possible to be developed until seven corridors with length more than 40 kilometers.

"Right now we are still processing it as long as 6 kilometers," said Sutanto, after welcoming International Trade Secretary, Liam Fox and British Ambassador to Indonesia, Moazzam Malik to look LRT project and Velodrome in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Thursday (4/6).

He hoped England is not only as a consultant technical assistant, but could also becomes project financing.

According to him, if that invest plan is realized, England will invest in LRT project through England's financial institution, UK Export Finance.

"UK Export Finance will come next week and we will try to elaborate the possibility of this cooperation," he closed.
