Illegal Racing, 42 Motorcycles Seized by City Police

City Police Traffic Directorate held a raid against illegal racing in four different locations, Sunday (6/8) early morning from 1 AM to 4 AM. From the raid, the officers managed to seize 42 motorcycles.

The raid was held at Taman Mini, on Jalan Merdeka Utara, Jalan Suryopranoto, and Jalan Asia Afrika. We seized 42 motorcycles

City Police Traffic Directorate Guidance and Operational Division Chief AKBP Budiyanto said as many as 502 joint personnel were deployed to the field. Those personnel are from Mobile Brigade (Brimob), Sabhara quick response unit, traffic directorate, and Internal Affairs Division (Propam).

“The raid was held at Taman Mini, on Jalan Merdeka Utara, Jalan Suryopranoto, and Jalan Asia Afrika. We seized 42 motorcycles,” he stated.

15 Motorcycles and 12 Youngters Secured Due to Illegal Racing

In addition, the officers also secured evidences in form of 61 vehicle registration certificates (STNK) and 14 driving licenses (SIM). These evidences are kept in City Police Command Headquarter.

“The violators will undergo trail on upcoming June 20,” he told.
