Mud Dredged From Jl. M.H. Thamrin Water Channel

Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. (SDA) normalizing water channel on Jl. M.H. Thamrin, from T-junction of Jl. Sunda to Bundaran HI. Due to thick mud sedimentation, it is dredged.

Central Jakarta Water Management Sub-dept.'s Maintenance Section Head, Boris Karlop Lumbangaol said, personnel were difficult to dredge the mud because the water channel's wide just 80 centimeters.

"When we check it, actually this channel is no longer working. It is already full of mud sedimentation. Thus we depleted it," he said, Wednesday (4/26).

Channels on Jalan Pandan and Lamandu Dredged

According to him, since last depletion on March 1, 2017, until now the collected dredged mud sedimentation from the channel is 150 cubic meter. 20 personnel have dredged it every day. It is targeted the mud dredging on channel which its long is more than 600 meters can be finished in 2 months.

"Hopefully, it could prevent inundation on Jl. M.H. Thamrin. We already prepared one mobile pump to accelerate the work," he closed.
