Jakartans, Beware of Extreme Weather in South Jakarta

Rainfall intensity in South Jakarta is reaching 209.4 millimeters per day or categorized as extreme weather. No wonder, the phenomenon will trigger flood in some streets.

The water level is varied, between 5-30 cm

Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Head, Husein Murad disclosed, there are nine streets flooded in South Jakarta.

He stated those streets are Jl. Ciledug Raya in front of Cipulir Market, Jl. Sultan Iskandar Muda in front of Gandaria City, Jl. Jenderal Gatot Subroto in front of Patra Building, and Jl. Puri Mutiara 5.

There are also Jl. Pintu Gelora 1, Jl. Deplu Raya, Bintaro Urban Village; Jl. Abdul Majid 4, Cipete Utara Urban Village; Jl. Fatmawati towards Block A, as well as Jl. Pangeran Antasari.

"The water level is varied, between 5-30 cm," he told, Wednesday (4/26).
