Channel on Jl. Listrik V Kwitang Cleaned

Water Channel on Jl. Listrik V, Kwitang, Senen, Central Jakarta was cleaned from trash and mud which block the water flow. After being cleaned, water channel on the location is planned to be repaired.

This channel was clogged because of 13 illegal buildings were in here before. So, it hasn't been cleaned for long time

Kwitang Urban Village Head, Hamdani said, channel cleaning was done along 500 meters by involving Public Facilities and Infrastructures (PPSU) personnel and Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. freelancer (PHL).

"This channel was clogged because of 13 illegal buildings were in here before. So, it hasn't been cleaned for long time," he said, Thursday (4/27).

Senen Sub-district Water Resources Unit Coordinator, Junaidi added, it is expected to take approximately more than two months. According to plan, this channel also will be repaired and every three meters will be built water control basin.

"It needs time to clean it depends on how thick is the sedimentation in channel," he closed.
