Burnt Electricity Cable Hampers Exams at SMP Setia Gama

The computer-based national exam (UNBK) conducted by 134 students of SMP Setia Gama, Jalan Semanan Raya, West Jakarta that kicked off today was reported being delayed due to fire on electricity cable. 

It's a little delayed around 10 minutes

At that time, the school immediately used a generator to run the exam. Not long after, the PLN officers arrived and then repaired the cable.

West Jakarta Region I Education Sub-dept. Head, Tajuddin Nur said, previously, the school had already contacted the PLN to anticipate power failure. So if the electricity cable is burnt, the PLN officers will come to fix it.

C. Jakarta School's Preparedness for UNBK Appreciated

"We have obstacles here, but it can be fixed. And the exam continued to run as usual in accordance with the schedule. It's a little delayed around 10 minutes," he expressed, Tuesday (5/2).

He went on the say that there are 134 students participating UNBK this year. They faced Indonesian Language subject on the first day.

"This year, in region 1, 13,459 students are participating the exam. Among them are 5,998 students of SMPN and 7,461 students of Private SMP that spread in 138 schools," he closed.
