BMKG: Beware of Rain Accompanied by Wind Three Days Ahead

Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Board (BMKG) predicted rain accompanied by strong wind will occur in south area of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek). This weather is predicted will occur until three days ahead between afternoon and night.

For citizen who live near riverbank, please be aware of flood and landslide

"Heavy rain accompanied by strong wind is predicted will occur until three days ahead, especially in South Jakarta, Depok, South Tangerang, and other areas near south border," said Hary T. Djatmiko, Head Division of BMKG's Public Relation, Wednesday (5/3).

Rain to Fall Jabodetabek This Afternoon

He added the occurrence of rain accompanied by strong winds could be caused by solar radiation. This is indicate by the morning air which is quite hot and scorching, then during the day begins to cloudy.

"That condition increasing the potential for clouds to appear more and triggering rain to fall," he added.

His side urges citizen to be aware of the impact that could happen such as flood, landslide, flash flood, inundation, fallen trees, and slippery roads.

"For citizen who live near riverbank, please be aware of flood and landslide," he closed.
