PBB-P2 with NJOP Under Rp 2 B will Be Free of Charge

Jakarta Provincial Government is about to raise the value of acquisition on Urban and Rural Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2). 

This is about the principle of acquisition justice

Initially, the value was only set on the Taxable Property Value (NJOP) under Rp 1 billion, yet it has gone up under Rp 2 billion.

"This is about the principle of acquisition justice. The land price continues to raise," said Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama, at City Hall, Wednesday (4/3).

Basuki explained, before the policy is issued, his party should firstly revise Gubernatorial Regulation No. 259/2015 on Acquisition of PBB-P2 on House, Rusunawa, Rusunami with NJOP worth Rp 1 billion. 

"And now it has touched Rp 1.1 billion, including PBB. That's why we decided to raise by Rp 2 billion," he stated.

He asserted the PBB-P2 acquisition only applies to the house. While for shop house, apartment and business place that have PBB-P2 NJOP under Rp 2 billion will remain be charged under tax deposit.

On the other hand, Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat added that Gubernatorial Regulation about Acquisition of PBB-P2 under Rp 2 billion would be issued by the end of this month.

Before the regulation is done, he assessed, it has been socialized to the city apparatuses at level of urban village. "PTSP officers must also be prepared thus will know the rule is," he said, at City Hall
