Issues Arrangement in Tanah Abang must Be Resolved in Synergy

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Jupan Royter said arrangement plan in Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta must be done in synergy. Considering, the place still has many problems that need to be resolved.

Among the issues are street vendor (PKL) and traffic jam. That's why it must be resolved in synergy among stakeholders

"Among the issues are street vendor (PKL) and traffic jam. That's why it must be resolved in synergy among stakeholders," he expressed, at City Hall, Wednesday (5/17).

Tight Security is Being Prepared at Tanah Abang Market

Approaching Ramadhan, he admitted, the existence of street vendors continues to increase coupled with the number of visitors. Therefore, besides SKPD, arrangement needs assistance from other circles.

"In Tanah Abang, the number of visitors keeps increasing. And surely the arrangement cannot be done from one side," he expressed.

According to him, it requires the role of RT/RW and public figure.

"We also need Transportation Dept. and police. Considering public transport vehicle is very rampant and often picking up passenger carelessly," he expressed.

He also asks PD Pasar Jaya to take firm action towards street vendor who already has a stall, yet still sells on the roadside and the sidewalk.

"It must be checked. There must be vendors move to the sidewalk. While the stall is just used as a warehouse, surely they must be sanctioned," he expressed.

Jupan added, 300 personnel have been alerted in Tanah Abang to banish those who sell haphazardly.
