Klender Station Burnt

A massive fire burned Klender Station, East Jakarta. It is allegedly due to electricity short-circuit from one of rooms in the station.

For the exact information, the police will investigate it,

Based on the information gathered, fire is occurred when the office and ticket counter activity was busy at around 7.30 AM. Smoke was allegedly from toilet roof. And in inside, fire rapidly enlarged and burned the office and the ticket counter.

Gatot Sulaiman, Head of Fire Prevention and Rescue Section for East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept. said fire is triggered by electricity short-circuit.

"For the exact information, the police will investigate it," he stated, at the scene, Friday (5/19).

To put out the flames, nine fire trucks were sent to the scene. They managed to control it around one hour. 

Based on beritajakarta.id, at 9 AM, the train can already use the railway track of the Klender Station. In the incident, the flames burned a warehouse, an office toilet, a station head office, a ticket counter, a waiting room, a security room and a server room.
