Disparbud Asked to Monitor Nightly Entertainment During Ramadan

Jakarta Provincial Government policy which obligated nightly entertainment industries in City to be closed or not operating during Ramadan until Eid, is supported by City Council Commission B.

"We support policies to be imposed and we asked all owners of nightly entertainment business in City to obey it," said Sereida Tambunan, Member of City Council Commission B, Thursday (5/18).

To make the regulations run effectively, she asked Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept. (Disparbud) to monitor the field routinely.

"Monitoring is really important to make sure all nightly entertainment are not operating during Ramadan and obey the applicable law," she added.

Another City Council Commission B Member, Prabowo Soenirman added, strict sanction is needed towards nightly industries that breaking the rules.

"This is done to give deterrent effect," he closed.
