Dishub Prepares Five Additional Terminals Ahead of Mudik

Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) prepares five additional terminals to serve passengers ahead of mudik (homecoming) season. Three main terminals are also operated from D-10 until D+14 of Eid.

But, five additional terminals will be operated also for homecoming season due to increased vehicle numbers ahead of Eid

Jakarta Dishub Head, Andri Yansyah said, three main terminals are Kalideres Terminal, Pulogebang Terminal, and Rambutan Terminal. All intercity interprovince (AKAP) buses have to go through main terminals.

"But, five additional terminals will be operated also for homecoming season due to increased vehicle numbers ahead of Eid," he said, Saturday (5/27).

City will Ensure Terminal and Vehicle for Homecoming Season

He mentioned five additional terminals are Pinang Ranti Terminal, Lebak Bulus Terminal, Grogol Terminal, Muara Angke Terminal, and Pasar Minggu Terminal. These additional terminals will be operated during homecoming flow and backflow from D-10 until D+14 of Eid.

"Additional terminal will be used to serve passenger during homecoming flow and backflow. Thus they have more choices of terminal for homecoming," he added.

He continued, his side will continue to control shadow terminal thus not cause congestion later. Autobus Company (PO) is expected to obey the regulation with taking and dropping-off the passenger inside terminal.

"We will continue to control shadow (illegal) terminal. We want all could get into the terminal thus not cause congestion," he closed.
