Former Genset Substation to Be Used as IKM Hub

Seribu Islands Industry and Energy Sub-dept. has a plan to build Small Medium Industries (IKM) hub in former genset (generator set) substation in all inhabited islands which are still in asset deletion process.

"We will build small industry hub and its business model at once using Corporate Social Program (CSR)," said Melinda Sagala, Head of Seribu Islands Industry and Energy Sub-dept., Tuesday (6/6).

According to her, recent deleted genset substation is just in Pramuka Island. In the near future, the building will be renovated for fostered IKM hub.

Meanwhile, Seribu Islands Vice Regent, Ismer Harahap informed that currently there are 120 fostered IKMs in his area are need to be registered. Thus ongoing IKM and problematic IKM can be recognized.

"Data is required for advance program and measure fostered program's success rate," he closed.
