City Received 20 Thousand Books Donation

Jakarta Provincial Government received 20 thousand books as donation from The Asia Foundation. This assistance was symbolically given by The Asia Foundation Director, Sandra Hamid, to Acting Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat.

Books can be used to improve human resources quality since early stage

Djarot appreciated The Asia Foundation for donating thousands of books for Jakarta Provincial Government.

"The Asia Foundation donate more than 20 thousand books that have been selected by us. We hope it will be useful for our children," he said in books handover event at City Hall, Friday (6/9).

Pulogebang Indah RPTRA's Library Gets Book Aid

According to him, those books will be distributed to all Children-Friendly Integrated Public Spaces (RPTRA)s in Jakarta.

"Books are windows to the world and we can use it to make RPTRA as well reading place. Books can be used to improve human resources quality since early stage," he expressed.

Jakarta Library and Archive Dept. (Dispusip) Head, Tinia Budiati explained The Asia Foundation is international organization which is centered in California, America.

"This organization is committed to improve life quality in Asia Countries, included Indonesia," he closed.
