Seribu Islands Revitalization must Be Realized Soon

City Council (DPRD) Commission B wants revitalization program for Seribu Islands to be realized soon.

The existing infrastructures on island settlements must also be improved

City DPRD Commission B Member, Syarifuddin disclosed, revitalization is required to realize Seribu Islands as 1 out of 10 tour destinations that included in National Tourism Strategic Location (KSPN).

Commission B Focuses to Oversee Four Revitalization Programs

"The initial stage of revitalization proposed by the council is ring road construction for connecting to the eleven island settlements in Seribu Islands," he stated, Tuesday (6/13).

He added the ring road project is purposed to create a border thus there would be no more reclamation by residents on such island settlements.

"Thus these island settlements can be arranged neatly," he expressed.

Aside that, Jakarta Provincial Government should done guidance towards citizens to be ready to welcome foreign and domestic tourists who visit their region.

"We'll give skills training to prosper the family's economic income," he continued.

Another council member, Capt Subandi added, the city should also fix the piers on those island settlements thus boats that carry passenger can lean back in the pier.

"The existing infrastructures on island settlements must also be improved," he closed.
