The existence of Transjakarta Corridor 13 (Ciledug-Tendean Route) is considered as improvement in mass transportation by Jakarta Provincial Government.
Thus its operational could be guaranteed safe and comfortable for Transjakarta consumers in order to be served better
This was expressed by Jakarta Transportation Council (DKTJ) Vice Chairman, Donny Andy S. Saragih. According to him, this is a step to support a good, safe, and comfortable public transportation that could reduce private vehicle usage in order to unravel traffic congestion.
"Physically, Transjakarta corridor 13 construction has been done, and currently in trial before it will be officially used on August 17, 2017," he said, Sunday (7/16).
Governor to Test Out Corridor 13 Operational at NightHe hopes, Ministry of Public Work and Publing Housing (PUPR) could issues corridor 13 overpass Certification of Proper Function (SLF) thus its safety could be guaranteed.
PT. Transjakarta as the user of corridor 13 must coordinate well with related sides, such as Bina Marga Dept., Transportation Dept., and police.
"Thus its operational could be guaranteed safe and comfortable for Transjakarta consumers in order to be served better," he added.
He continued, PT. Transjakarta can reduce operational risk in corridor 13 by utilizing new buses with experienced bus driver. Considering of corridor 13 condition which is still new, without separator between lanes, and its height that reaches to 23 meters from ground.
Meanwhile, Monang Silahan (39), one of Transjakarta drivers who conducted trial at corridor 13 said, driver needs to focus since it is an overpass.
"Not only as an overpass, but corridor 13 also does not meet regular lane and it is free from other private vehicles thus makes a smooth trip," he closed.
