Jakarta Provincial Government, has signed service support cooperation after rehabilitation program along with Jakarta National Narcotics Agency (BNNP), Monday (7/31).

The cooperation that applies three years has involved regional working units (SKPD) under Jakarta Provincial Government. The five SKPDs are Jakarta Social Dept., Manpower and Transmigration Dept., Industry and Energy Dept., Education Dept. and KUMKMP Dept.

Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, positively welcomed the cooperation. According to him, victims of drugs abuse should be given the opportunity and trust to be productive.
If the victim is predicted 2.2 percent, it will be the same with 200,000 out of 10 million Jakarta people.
"Those who get rehabilitation are our brothers who want to be free of drugs. We must support, don't isolate, give place and trust thus they can be productive," he stated.
Jakarta BNNP Head, Jhoni Pol Latuperissa disclosed the prevalence rate of drugs abuse victims in Indonesia in 2015 is about 2.2 percent or 3.8-4 million people.
"This is like a phenomenon of icebergs, something does not look definitely bigger. That's why we declare war against drugs," he asserted.
He explained, eradication efforts have been implemented in various ways. One of them is to conduct continuous rehabilitation with medical and social rehabilitation stages followed by post-rehabilitation program.
"Earlier we had cooperated in term of rehabilitation field. Last year, 67 people got rehabilitation at Jakarta social institutions," he closed.
