City to Hold FGD About Extension of Lane Ban For Two-wheeled Vehicle

Jakarta Transportation Dept. along with Greater Jakarta Transportation Agency (BPTJ), will hold Focus Group Discussion (FGD) regarding extension of the lane ban for two-wheeled vehicles.

We hope it could get the results of a comprehensive study as the material defining the rules

According to Andri Yansyah, Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept., FGD will involve all related stakeholders, such as Jakarta Municipal Transport Council, Police, academia, community and transportation observer. It will be held on Tuesday (8/8) next week at BPTJ office, Jalan MT Haryono, South Jakarta.

"There are three agenda discussed. First thing is about the expansion of banning two-wheeled vehicle. Second is about even-odd system extension to Rasuna Said and the last is to overcome traffic jam MT Haryono," he stated, Thursday (8/8).

He explained, there is expansion discourse of banning two-wheeled vehicle. Previously along Jalan Merdeka Barat-Thamrin, will be forwarded to Senayan Roundabout on Jalan Sudirman.

"We hope it could get the results of a comprehensive study as the material defining the rules. So we invite all related parties," he closed.
