15 Sidewalks in C. Jakarta will Be Arranged

Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. will arrange 15 sidewalk locations. One of the arrangements is to install directional tiles for disabled people.

"We will install directional tiles thus blind people could feel comfort to walk on sidewalk. We will also install curb ramp connectors for wheelchair users," said Sukowibowo, Head of Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept., Thursday (8/10).

There are 15 sidewalk locations in eight sub-districts of Central Jakarta that will be arranged with total 48,488 square meters wide. The arrangement work is targeted to finish in November.

Bina Marga also coordinates with related institution such as PLN and Telkom for utility network.

"For trees kept for greening purposes, we will make border box between trees and sidewalk, " he closed.
