Vehicle Tax Deliquents Raid Held Today

Jakarta Taxation and Local Retribution Agency (BPRD) collaborates with Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya to hold raid for vehicle tax (PKB) deliquents on Friday (8/10). This raid is held in five Jakarta regions after the signing of cooperation (PKS) this morning.

Below three years, we order them to pay it on the spot or be ticketed

Jakarta BPRD Head, Edi Sumantri said, vehicle will be grounded if the owner does not pay PKB for more than 3 years.

"They will be sanctioned to pay obligation tax and towing retribution," he informed, Thursday (8/10).

City Secretary Urges Citizen to Utilize PKB Fine Deletion

He mentioned, retribution for towing is Rp 500 thousand per day. Amount of retribution charged is based on the number of days the vehicle can be redeemed by its owner, beyond the tax and PKB's fine administration.

He added, strict sanction is applied because until the mid of July there are 3 million of 6.5 million two-wheeled vehicle owners does not pay PKB. While for four-wheeled vehicle, there are 450 thousand of 2 million people who does not pay PKB.

"Below three years, we order them to pay it on the spot or be ticketed. We plan to hold it in nine locations," he closed.
