77 Green Belts will Be Made This Year

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept. is going to make 77 new green belts this year. It is purposed to develop urban agriculture in the capital by utilizing the home garden yard of the residents.

According to Darjamuni, Head of Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept., last year, there have been 160 green belts in five cities and one district. In the program, citizens who have yard were asked to use it as urban agriculture.
"This year, we will make 77 green belts. And it has been ongoing," he stated, Saturday (8/12).

This year, some green belts that will be developed in each area are about 15 points.
"We also add two points that are assistance from Bank Indonesia," he finished.
