N. Jakarta Samsat Office Filled by Tax Payers

Policy to erase vehicle tax (PKB) fine and vehicle-ownership transfer fees (BBNKB) in August gives a positive impact. North Jakarta Samsat Office was filled with tax payers who wanted to pay PKB or BBNKB on Monday (8/14).

For a day, around Rp 6 billion can be collected from 2,500 vehicles in average. Now, Rp 8.8 billion can be collected from 4,113 vehicles

Based on Beritajakarta observation, thousands people queued to pay their vehicle tax. That queue was seen either at Samsat office entrance and service counters from first floor to third floor.

"For a day, around Rp 6 billion can be collected from 2,500 vehicles in average. Now, Rp 8.8 billion can be collected from 4,113 vehicles," said Robert L. Tobing, Head Unit of North Jakarta PKB and BBNKB.

Since it was crowded by visitors, there was an increase in tax revenue for about 34 percent. But in tax arrears payment has already reached 90 percent.  

Rahmat (39), one of tax payers, admitted happy with the policy of administration fine deletion.

"We can pay the tax without pay administration fine. I rather pay at samsat than being netted or ticketed," he closed.
