KJP Receiver's Data Asked to Be Updated Periodically

Social assistance expenditure proposal to add Jakarta Pintar Card (KJP) participants number which costs Rp 734.4 billion in APBD-P's KUPA-PPAS 2017 has been approved by City Council.

However, it must be supported with updated KJP receiver's data periodically

City Council's Commission E Chairman, Pantas Nainggolan asks Jakarta Education Dept. to make priority policy to update KJP receiver's data thus provision of subsidized education can be on target.

"Principally, we are agree. However, it must be supported with updated KJP receiver's data periodically," he said at City Hall, Monday (8/28).

Separately, Jakarta Education Dept. Deputy Head, Bowo Irianto explained, the addition for social assistance expenditure which proposed in APBD-P's KUPA-PPAS 2017 will be used to provide funding for KJP participants. Because, there are additional 793 thousand KJP receivers from last data that was just around 610 thousand students.

He added, currently his side is still waiting for Integrated Data Basis (BDT) to be launched by Jakarta Development Planning Agency (Bappeda). That system is considered can validate students who deserve to get KJP.

"We are still waiting. We hear that it will be launched in 2018 by Bappeda. After it launched, we will use it," he closed.
