20 Streetlights in N. Jakarta Broken

Within January-September 2017 periods, dozens of damaged streetlights found in North Jakarta due to collision. Its loss reaches Rp 300 million.

There are about 20 damaged streetlights due to collision

North Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept. Head, Agus Mulyadi said, there are 20 broken streetlights because of getting hit by vehicle. All parts of streetlight are broken, including its pole and bracket.

"There are about 20 damaged streetlights due to collision," he said, Monday (9/4).

Most of damaged streetlights are in major arterial roads. Such as on Jl. Yos Sudarso, Jl. Marunda, Jl. Raya Cilincing, Mitra Bahari Penjaringan, and other locations.

"There are many streetlight's parts such as pole, ornament bracket, and lamp which are severely damaged and can not be used anymore," he expressed.

Most of the damaged streetlights type is 200 watts LED with around 10 meters tall. LED lamp price is about 9 billion per unit. While its pole is about Rp 4 thousand.

This is not included ornamental bracket and cable damages. Material loss for each streetlight is estimated around Rp 15 million.

"Because electrical induction could be happened when re-connecting the disconnected cable. Besides, it also dangerous since it is prone to fire," he closed.
