Komisi C akan Kaji Pendapatan Parkir di Pasar Tradisional

Commission C to Review Parking Revenue in Traditional Markets

Jakarta DPRD Commission C is about to review the management of parking in some traditional markets owned by PD Pasar Jaya that have been managed by Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) Parking.

We want to know whether the parking previously managed by PD Pasar Jaya and then transferred to BLUD Parking is beneficial for Jakarta Provincial Government or not

According to Santoso, Chairman of Jakarta DPRD Commission C, it is done to find out how much benefit of parking management in traditional market to City Local Revenue (PAD).

Parking Management Acquisition Targets 37 Markets

"We want to know whether the parking previously managed by PD Pasar Jaya and then transferred to BLUD Parking is beneficial for Jakarta Provincial Government or not," he expressed, Tuesday (9/12).

He asked, BLUD Parking to present the complete data at the follow-up work meeting with its staff in the future. Because, in the previous meeting, the data presented BLUD under Jakarta Transportation Dept. had yet to describe the revenue from the traditional market.

"So the data given to Commission C is still absurd. Therefore we ask to be presented more fully at the next meeting," he uttered.

Separately, Jakarta Transportation Dept. Vice Head, Sigit Wijamoko stated, the initial aim of BLUD Parking is to take over parking management in the markets, instead of business expansion. Yet it is to meet service needs in the market itself.

"So there is a perception that parking management in PD Pasar Jaya eliminates parking tax revenue. We will explain that what happened is not the case," he closed.
