67 Operational Vehicles will Be Booked to Support Asian Games

Jakarta Transportation Dept. has allocated Rp 35 billion to buy 67 operational vehicles for next year. Those will be prepared to support the upcoming 2018 Asian Games.

According to Andri Yansyah, Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept., in the Asian Games, his party has responsible for escorting the athlete from the hotel to the venue of the match or vice versa.

"We got the task to escort the 2018 Asian Games participants. Which is why we allocate Rp 35 billion for buying operational vehicles, either it is motorcycle or car," he expressed, at City Council Building, Wednesday (9/13).

He continued there are four venues and 71 hotels that will be used for the participants. They must be guarded in order to be on time when they want to follow the game.

"Their activities are numerous. So we set the purchase of 67 new operational vehicles to guard them," he told.

He added, the purchase of operational vehicles is focused on the level of dept. His ranks at the city and district levels were asked not to budget the purchase of new operational vehicles in order to avoid fictitious budget.

"We have also coordinated with INASGOC for its implementation in the field later," he finished.
