162 Fire Cases Happened in N. Jakarta and Seribu Islands

Within January to early September periods, there are 162 fire cases happened in North Jakarta and Seribu Islands in total. Material loss due to fire reaches Rp 34.096 billion.

It also noted 578 families and 1,797 people were impacted in fire incident. For material loss is around Rp 34.096 billion

"Last year, Seribu Islands has its own sub-department. But now, we handle two areas at once," said Satriardi Gunawan, Head of North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue, Thursday (9/13).

According to the burnt object due to fire, dwelling house is the mostly damaged object. The record of damaged object is 57 houses, 17 lodgements, 14 warehouses, 13 locations of PLN cables, 3 stalls, 9 vehicles, and 5 power houses.

Until August, 98 Fire Causes Occurred in Central Jakarta

Then, 8 boats, 4 shops, 2 kiosks, 4 gas cylinder, 1 boat docking workshop, 13 locations of reeds, 17 locations of collected waste, 2 electric meters, 2 offices.

Next are 1 drying stand, 2 used tires, 1 boiler machine, 1 chimney cover, and 1 pile of wood.

Based on the percentage of fire cause, mostly is caused by electricity for 59 percent, burning garbage for 19 percent, stove for 6 percent, and remaining is other cause.

"It is noted, there are 3 victims died and 18 injured. It also noted 578 families and 1,797 people were impacted in fire incident. For material loss is around Rp 34.096 billion," he closed.
