800 PNS at City Hall Undergoing Urine Test

800 civil servants (PNS) under Jakarta Regional Secretariat are undergoing urine test held by Jakarta National Narcotics Agency (BNNP). The urine test is aimed to anticipate drug abuse early.

Later on, similar action will also be held at schools

Based on Beritajakarta.id, those employees are from Governance Bureau, Legal Bureau, Regional Heads Bureau and Foreign Cooperation, and Public Bureau.

There are also Organization Bureau and Reform Bureaucracy, Administrative Bureau, Economic Bureau, Social Welfare Bureau, Spiritual Bureau and Spiritual Education, and City and Environmental Planning Bureau.

Jakarta BNN's Prevention and People Empowerment Section Head, Krisna Anggara expressed, the urine test becomes part of BNNP cooperation commitment with Jakarta Provincial Government.

"As planned, we will do urine test for all SKPD apparatuses. Later on, similar action will also be held at schools," he stated, at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (10/10).

According to him, it can directly be known within one minute. For those indicated to use drugs will be given an assessment on this day as well.

"If the drug users are found, they will undergo a counseling at Jakarta BNNP office. Counseling is usually done 8-12 times," he explained.

He added Jakarta Governor has commitment and support the BNNP's program in preventing circulation of abuse of drug.

"Drug abuse needs to be minimized continuously," he closed.
