Basements of 11 RPTRAs will Have Communal IPAL

Jakarta Provincial Government is about to utilize the basements of 11 RPTRAs in the capital for other public facilities.

There are 11 RPTRAs that have been reviewed for the utilization of its basements

Jakarta Development Planning Board (Bappeda) Head, Tuty Kusumawati said, the utilization of underground is to anticipate the lack of land in the city.

"There are 11 RPTRAs that have been reviewed for the utilization of its basements," she expressed, at Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (10/11). 

She assessed the review itself is conducted by the Resilient Cities Team after Jakarta was set in 100 Resilient Cities (RC) in the word.

She added, the basements would be utilized as the communal wastewater treatment plants (IPAL). The similar program has also been set at several private companies in the region, including Jakarta.

"This program will be applied at two RPTRAs in each region and another one in Seribu Islands," she told.

Those 11 RPTRAs projected in the program are Mardani RPTRA, Komando Ceria RPTRA, Sindang Raya RPTRA, Tunas Harapan RPTRA, Cambela RPTRA, Ramli RPTRA, Ceria RPTRA, Kemandoran RPTRA, Muara Condet RPTRA, Ciracas RPTRA and Kelapa Island RPTRA.
