City Hall Yard Crowded by People

Until Monday (10/16) evening, City Hall yard continues to be crowded by people. They want to welcome Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno who had just inaugurated as Jakarta Governor and Vice Governor by President Joko Widodo at Istana Negara.

People's gathering points are spread in several areas, start from City Hall yard until Great Hall's pendopo.

Anies-Sandi Now Officially Lead Jakarta

Razak (34), Jagakarsa resident, South Jakarta, admitted he came to encourage Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno in leading Jakarta.

"I hope Anies is wiser to lead," he expressed.

Similar expectation has been expressed by Nurlela (35), Lenteng Agung resident, South Jakarta. She wants the new governor and vice governor focus to make Jakarta better. "Especially in traffic congestion and flood problems," she said.

Meanwhile, tens of dancers from Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept.'s Art and Culture Center Management Unit are doing rehearsal with gambang kromong music.

Jakarta Regional Heads and Foreign Cooperation Bureau (KDH and KLN) Head, Muhammad Mawardi said, preparation for welcoming ceremony has run well and according to plan.

"Even though it was rain, but welcoming ceremony has run quite well. Everything is ready," he expressed.

He hopes, citizens could follow the event held at City Hall in orderly.
