30 Personnel Repair Collapsed Embankment in Jati Padang

30 joint personnel from South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Dept. and PPSU were deployed to repair collapsed Kali Pulo sack embankment, at RW 06, Jati Padang.

Temporarily, we will strengthen it with sack filled with soil first

South Jakarta SDA Dept. Head, Holi Susanto said, collapsed sack embankment has six meters long. Its repair is estimated will be finished tomorrow.

"Temporarily, we will strengthen it with sack filled with soil first, because we need to handle it fast," he expressed, Friday (10/20).

Meanwhile, Jati Padang Urban Village Head, Noviant Wijanarko said collapsed embankment is located at Sabili Alley, RT 03/06. Settlement location is lower than embankment thus inundated.

"There are 100 families and 70 buildings were impacted. Currently, inundation has been receded along with reduced water level in river," he informed.

Previously, overflowing water caused settlement inundated with around 80-100 centimeters high. Residents were evacuated to Al-Ridwan Mosque near the settlement. But currently, residents have returned to their own houses.
