Sandi will Monitor Asian Games Venue Construction Often

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno will monitor construction of Asian Games XVIII venues namely Rawamangun Velodrome and Pulomas Equestrian in East Jakarta periodically.

According to him, all facilities and infrastructures must be prepared well to welcome guests from overseas, especially people from athlete's countries which is predicted to arrive in the middle of second quartal.

"I manage my schedule thus can monitor these venues regularly. Construction worker will be also motivated to complete it on time," he said, Thursday (10/26).

He informed, recent progress of Rawamangun Velodrome and Pulomas Equestrian has done around 70 percent.

"Its progress is on track. The point is, planning must be followed with well coordination and regular inspection," he added.

He explained in his meeting with President Joko Widodo on last Wednesday (10/25), president conveys his concern and wants Asian Games 2018 infrastructure preparation to be done on time, especially Velodrome.

"President is concern about velodrome since it would be finished after April 2018, while Equestrian can be done faster," he expressed.

He added, test event and trial practice venue are needed to be done later. 

"We need to make sure it has good coordination and no delayed time," he closed.
