13 pump houses in Penjaringan Sub-district, North Jakarta are ready to be operated to handle floods. To optimize it, the private party also operates 5 additional pump houses in the field.

"We have 13 pump houses managed by Jakarta Water Resources Dept. and 5 other pump houses from private party. They are in good condition so far," expressed Mohammad Andri, Head of Penjaringan Sub-district, Monday (10/30).

Aside that, in Penjaringan Sub-district, there are 11 sluice gates to control water debit at some rivers thus can overcome the inundation. These gates are in Muara angke, Villa Kapuk Mas, Telok Gong 1 and 2, Duri Ledeng aand Pasar Ikan.

"We also have normalized points that prone to floods. Hopefully the floods can be handled during rainy season," he closed.
