Seribu Islands Regency will strengthen its supervision towards homestays in several inhabited islands. This is done to prevent homestay misuse for negative activities.

Seribu Islands Economy and Development Assistant, Iwan Pangihutan Samosir said that based to residents report, contraception are usually found near homestay in inhabited islands.
"I want Satpol PP, local urban village and sub-district heads to strengthen supervision towards homestay. Especially to do it intensively at long weekend and national holidays," he said, Monday (10/30).
Homestay Entrepreneurs Asked to Improve CompetitivenessHe added, Tourism and Culture Sub-dept could supervise by encouraging homestay community, Pokdarwis, and local public figures to maintain everything in order and comfort.
"It needs integration between apparatus and communities in doing supervision thus Seribu Islands could be cleaned from social issue. We are still investigating this information since it is an assumption," he closed.
