Food and Transportation Subsidies will Be Provided to Laborers with UMP Salary

Next year, Jakarta Provincial Government will optimize food and transportation subsidies allocation for laborers paid based on provincials minimum wage (UMP).

Through subsidies, hopefully Jakartans welfare could be increased

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno mentioned, his side has asked PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) and PD. Pasar Jaya to prepare well service to laborers following UMP 2018 provision for Rp 3.648.035.

"Those two BUMDs have agreed. They asked for a month to prepare system and others," he said, Thursday (11/2).

Two BUMDs Ready to Support Food Subsidy Program for Labor

According to him, companies also need to be active to register their employees who have minimum salary.

"We want to ensure laborers to use Transjakarta bus for free and buy foods in affordable prices at Jakgrosir. Besides, we will also enhance education assistance," he explained.

He added, PT. Transjakarta and PD. Pasar Jaya will also cooperate with bank and instruct companies to list its employees who receive minimum salary.

"Through subsidies, hopefully Jakartans welfare could be increased," he closed.
