Maritime Dept. Asked to Increase Budget For Improving Food Security

Jakarta DPRD's Commission B, revealed the direct and indirect expenditure proposed by Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept. for 2018 APBD should be increased.

We can only be like that, but we will discuss again at the level of dept.

It is to accommodate the program of improving Jakarta's food security through urban agriculture and fish farming.

N. Jakarta Maritime Sub-dept.'s Budget Absorption Has Hit 76 Percent

Jakarta DPRD's Commission B Chairperson, Yusriah Dzinnun disclosed, the dept. only proposed a budget for direct and indirect expenditure worth Rp 342,149,748,639.

"This is too little, considering there is additional governor's programs related to urban farming in Jakarta, as well as fish cultivation program," he expressed, Tuesday (11/7).

In the meantime, Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept. Head, Darjamuni admitted would conduct a discussion related to input from Jakarta DPRD's Commission B. 

"We can only be like that, but we will discuss again at the level of dept.," he closed.
