131 Illegal Building on KBB Inspeksi Road Controlled

131 illegal buildings located in Tanah Abang and Gambir Sub-districts along 6.5 kilometers of West Flood Cannal (KBB)'s inspection road were controlled due to arrangement.

"There is no refusal because we have socialized about the arrangement one week before and they accept it," said Mangara Pardede, Central Jakarta Mayor at the location, Monday (11/13).

He explained, it is done as the early phase to arrange KBB inspection road and help Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC) to conduct dredging program.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Yani Wahyu Purwoko added, 500 joint personnel were deployed to control illegal buildings. His side will also deploy personnel to guard the area and secure BBWSCC dredging work.

"We will monitor and guard the area during dredging work is running. While personnel number is depend on BBWSCC request," he stated.

Based on Beritajakarta monitoring, illegal buildings on KBB inspection road were controlled well. Many of illegal building owners disassembled their own buildings. Personnel also helped them to clean up their stuffs.
