Sandi Attends Fun Run 5K Road to 2017 Sail Sabang

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno, attended in Fun Run 5K to Sail Sabang 2017. Besides inviting local residents, the event is also used to promote archipelago tourism.

The event route was started from Senayan Gate, precisely next to Fx Sudirman-Jalan Sudirman-Semanggi Bridge-Senayan Roundabout-Senayan Gate.

After reaching the finish line, Sandi said that Jakarta Provincial Government had invited other regional governments that want to promote tourism on Car Free Day.

"Despite it is held in Jakarta, Car Free Day is common property," he stated, during the event, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Central Jakarta, Sunday (11/19).

According to him, it can combine a healthy lifestyle with an increase in the tourism sector of the archipelago as well as the creation of new quality jobs.

"If it's needed, the city will expand again to accommodate all activities of the archipelago in Jakarta. This is what we have to do to encourage tourism in all parts of Indonesia including in Jakarta," he expressed.

While, Aceh Deputy Governor, Nova Iriansyah uttered he highly appreciated the city that participates in promoting Sail Sabang. As planned, it would be opened by the Indonesian President, Joko Widodo.

"Thanks to the city for participating in popularizing Sail Sabang. It will take place from November 28-December 5, 2017 in Sabang Bay, Aceh," he closed.
